Junior Accounts Assistant Great Dunmow Salary: GBP21,000 - GBP22,000 Hours: Monday ndash; Friday (Office Based) Due to business expansion, we have an immediate vacancy for an JR Accounts assistant to join the accounts Team based in Great Dunmow, Essex. This is an exciting, fast paced, and challenging opportunity to provide support and continued growth to an already established Team. Main Purpose of the job: As part of the accounting team, you will play a vital role as JR Accounts Assistant in maintaining an efficient, organised, and accurate finance function for the business. This a fantastic opportunity if you want to start at the bottom and work up. Key Responsibilities * Maintaining Ledgers * Processing high volumes of purchase invoices * Coding * Maintaining spreadsheets for the department * Maintaining Internal Database records * Ad hoc duties to support the finance department. * Match invoices to purchase orders. * Processing invoices efficiently and accurately * Reconciliation of supplier/customer statements to the ledgers * Any other financial admin Person Specification Essential * Basic understanding of accountancy procedures principles * Data entry * Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload * Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment. * Computer literate and highly numerate with high degree of accuracy * Strong communication skills * Excellent communication/organisational skills and be able to manage a busy workload independently. Desirable Qualification in a relevant accounting discipline would be desirable.
