Our client a prestigious private member #39;s club nestled in the heart of Mayfair is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef. Renowned for its exquisite ambience and personalised service, the client aims to provide members with a home away from home. The client is offering a salary of between GBP40.000 to GBP45,000 depending on experience with an extensive list of benefits! What Does the Role Entail? You will play a pivotal role in curating unforgettable dining experiences for our discerning members. You will collaborate closely with the head pastry chef to oversee pastry production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. You will manage production, developing recipes, training, and supervising staff, managing inventory, conducting quality control checks, menu planning, maintaining kitchen hygiene and equipment, controlling costs, coordinating pastry offerings for special events, staying updated on industry trends, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies. The role requires a blend of creative flair, leadership skills, attention to detail, and adherence to high standards of culinary excellence. What skills will you have? Ideally you will have previous experience working in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or private member #39;s club, to give you a strong understanding of the type of clientele you will be serving. Strong knowledge of both pastry and desserts is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to engage effectively with members and colleagues, while the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is crucial for maintaining impeccable standards of service.
