Production planner

Position: Production Planner Salary: GBP33,000 - GBP35,000 Location: Kempston Proactive are currently working with a client who are a market leader in their field based in Kempston. The client are currently in need of a Production Planner. The need is due to rapid company growth, the successful candidate will be joining a thriving business and be helping maintain the site #39;s function through this exciting influx of work. You will be responsible for: Data entry and management within the business ERP system. Creation and collation of manufacturing works orders and schedules for the metal shop processes. Planning and requesting via purchasing raw materials in line with the production schedules. Pre checking / amending work order requirements prior to final production release. Liaising between the different departments within the company. Regularly co-ordinate with planning department regarding the overall production schedule. Creation and collation of manufacturing works orders and schedules for the metal shop processes. Ensure that the company works order system is used correctly to enable product traceability, printing and collating picking schedules making sure that we are working to the correct revision. Pre checking / amending work order requirements prior to final production release. Stock control of raw materials including safety stocks, monitor and report to purchasing any shortages / issues. Work closely with the other departments of the business to share information in a timely manner. Experience/Qualifications: Use of and ERP / MRP system Previous planning, scheduling or administrative role Worked in a manufacturing environment.
