Teaching assistant

We are recruiting a full-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in M9 to start ASAP and will go on until July 2024. Could this be the role for you? You will be supporting children with their learning and development in a Year 1 class. You will also be expected to work with small groups of children with phonics and reading sessions and one to one support as and when required. Why choose Milk? Your role responsibilities: middot; Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students middot; Be committed to raising attainment, aspiration and self-esteem of pupils middot; Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs middot; You will work closely with the class teacher to provide a safe environment and engaging lesson Non-negotiables: middot; Holds a Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, Etc.) or relevant experience within the last two years supporting children in either an education, social care, nursery, community/youth role, college/university placement or any volunteer roles Please note, candidates without a qualification but with extensive experience (paid or voluntary) with children or a relevant setting are also welcome to apply! * Must have a level 2 qualification for this role and previously support KS2 experience or similar. * Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher. * Two suitable references covering the last 2 years. * Be able to display excellent verbal communication as well as the ability to actively listen.
