Geotechnical engineer

Ref: RPGEOT02 Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer Type: Permanent, full-time. Location: Bristol Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 per annum Position Overview: Parkside Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our client rsquo;s team. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and diverse projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the success of our clients. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive site investigations to assess ground conditions, including soil and rock properties, groundwater levels, and geotechnical hazards. * Perform geotechnical analyses and interpretation of site data to develop engineering recommendations for foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and other geotechnical features. * Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including soil boring logs, laboratory test results, and engineering analyses, adhering to industry standards and client requirements. * Design and oversee construction of earthworks, deep foundations, ground improvement techniques, and other geotechnical structures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations. * Conduct stability analyses for slopes, embankments, and excavations using appropriate software and analytical methods. * Assist in the development and implementation of geotechnical monitoring and instrumentation plans to evaluate ground behaviour and performance over time. * Provide technical expertise and guidance during project planning, design, and construction phases, addressing geotechnical challenges and optimizing project outcomes. * Stay abreast of advancements in geotechnical engineering practices, materials, and technologies, and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs and methodologies. Qualifications: * Bachelor rsquo;s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Master #39;s degree preferred. * Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, including site investigation, analysis, and design. * Proficiency in geotechnical software tools such as gINT, GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar programs. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geotechnical data and provide practical solutions.. * Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client interaction, is desirable.
