Assistant engineer

Job Title: Assistant Engineer Location: Bristol, UK Salary: GBP30,000-GBP32,000 per annum My client are a civil engineering contractor providing highways maintenance and ground engineering services within the South-West region, working on a variety of frameworks with high profile clients. They #39;re looking for an Assistant Engineer to join the team based in Bristol. This role will be a mixture of visiting sites and being responsible for documentation within the office. Recent graduates with an interest in pursuing a career within construction are welcome to apply, but 1-2 years experience within the industry would be preferable. Responsibilities of the Assistant Engineer: middot;Preparation of contract documents for highways projects. middot;Plan and programme activities. middot;Implement quality control. middot;Check works in accordance with specification expectations. middot;Conduct site visits. middot;Liaise with key clients as and when necessary. Requirements of the Assistant Engineer: middot;A degree within Civil Engineering or related field. middot;1-2 years experience within the construction industry preferable. middot;Experience/working knowledge of highways sector also preferable. middot;Based in or able to commute to Bristol region. middot;Willingness to learn and multi-task within a busy environment. middot;Good team player skills and communication abilities. middot;Full UK Drivers License.
