Electrical product support specialist

Position: Electrical Support Engineer Location:Haverhill, (some travel may be required) Salary: GBP35k-GBP45k Shifts: Mon Fri (Days) Overview: The World #39;s leading supplier of sharpening systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Product Support Specialist. Based at our manufacturing facility in Haverhill, Suffolk. Reporting to the Customer Care Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all technical queries from their global customer base. Requirements: Ideally qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent, you will require a sound knowledge of electromechanical machinery, industrial automation, and control systems (PLC, inverter drives and relays). You should be able to confidently assist customers in using a multi-meter to diagnose electrical faults and clearly demonstrate a systematic approach to fault finding. Strong PC skills are essential, you will be expected to work with existing data and document management tools to be able to systematically log calls and outcomes. You should also have an extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite as you will be expected to review, maintain, and update product manuals, datasheets, and bills of material. Evidence of project management experience and change management processes would also be advantageous. Responsibilities bull; Provide customer support on technical issues for global customers from first contact to resolution. bull; Fault diagnosis for electrical and mechanical issues. bull; Occasional site work may be necessary, full current driving licence required. bull; Maintain and deliver technical drawings, service bulletins and support manuals. bull; Strong problem solving skills carry out root cause analysis. bull; Strong written and verbal communication skills. bull; Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and oversee multiple projects. bull; Provide technical training support both internally and externally. bull; Supporting mentoring the Field Service Technician bull; Creating and producing training media and programs for distributors and end users.
