Design manager

Role: Design Manager Location: Hertforshire, Welwyn. Setup: Hybrid, Mix of Office and Project Based Client: National Tier 1 build contractor Employment Type: Permanent Role Salary: Up to GBP70k + package Duties Responsibilities: As the Design Manager, you #39;ll be working within the regional build team, supporting them in building projects. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager you will be responsible for the management and delivery of design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule. For ensuring that the appointed design consultants carry out their duties in line with their appointment. Input at both pre construction and construction stage of a project. At times mentoring junior staff. The production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, schedules to record progress, upline reporting, attending/chairing necessary meetings and workshops. For ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements. Experience and Qualifications required: Previous experience working as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator for a Main Contractor. Experience of undertaking design management activities at both tender and construction stages. In-depth knowledge of construction processes and materials.
