Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), you will play a pivotal role in supporting students facing a range of challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of tasks aimed at fostering the holistic development of each child. From providing one-on-one support during lessons to facilitating small group activities and assisting with the implementation of individualized support plans, you will be instrumental in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your role will also involve collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and external professionals to devise and implement tailored interventions and behaviour management strategies. By offering empathetic guidance and employing evidence-based practices, you will empower students to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and achieve academic success. Requirements: To thrive in this role, you should possess: * Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally within a school setting. * A compassionate and patient demeanour, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues alike. * Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, along with a genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of every child. * The flexibility to work full-time hours on a long-term basis, demonstrating commitment and dedication to the school community.
