1:1 Learning Support Assistant A Wakefield Secondary school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join the team as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. This position is designed to provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Responsibilities: Individualised Support: Work closely with a child to provide personalised assistance based on their specific learning requirements. Academic Support: Assist children in understanding and completing class assignments and projects. Reinforce learning concepts and strategies. Communication: Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to support each child rsquo;s learning goals. Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to manage and support positive behaviour and fostering a conducive learning environment. Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed records of the student #39;s progress and share insights with the teaching team and parents as needed. Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. Knowledge and understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies to address them. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Relevant certifications or coursework in special education or a related field is a plus.
