Fire safety surveyor

Reading, Luton or Watford ndash; hybrid working We have a great opportunity that has arisen with our dedicated Fire Safety team for a Fire Safety Surveyor. The primary function of the role will be to oversee the fire risk assessment works for Southern Housing. Some key duties include: * Ensuring that all designated fire risk assessment works are actioned and correctly undertaken within the prescribed timescales. * Ensuring that all Southern Housing rsquo;s properties owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. * Ensuring that staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service. Your main office base will be Fleet House, Farringdon, where you rsquo;ll be required to travel to once a month. You rsquo;ll be predominantly working across sites in Reading, Luton and Watford. Some hybrid working will be included. What you rsquo;ll need * Experience as a fire/building surveyor in a maintenance environment carrying out pre and post inspections with a Fire Qualification NEBOSH fire or equivalent. * Working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005. * Experience of working with contractors using SOR and non-SOR contracts. * The ability to produce detailed specifications of work. * Knowledge of relevant and current, codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards and materials. * Knowledge of contract management.
