Job Purpose: The role entails executing day-to-day tasks to the highest standards in alignment with relevant contracts, safety regulations, and electrical codes. It requires providing exemplary customer service to clients and residents. Main duties and responsibilities: As an electrical engineer, reporting to the Supervisor/Contract Manager, you serve as the primary liaison between the company and the clients. Your role necessitates strong communication skills, both written and oral, along with a comprehensive understanding of the electrical industry. Main responsibilities include: - Performing electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspection, and testing - Diagnosing and rectifying faults - Conducting electrical remedial works - Undertaking new electrical inspections - Addressing reactive electrical tasks - Completing emergency lighting inspections and repairs - Ensuring work is conducted to company standards, especially in varied environments like schools, void, occupied, and communal areas - Upholding the highest levels of customer care and promoting a positive image of the company externally - Adhering to company procedures and policies for efficient service delivery - Timely and accurate reporting - Compliance with the company #39;s quality management system and responsible recycling practices Experience Skills: - Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing, and installations, ideally in the public sector - Proficiency with tools, equipment, and materials common to the Electrical Trade - Preferably possessing a CSCS card - Current Trade Qualifications - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings - IT proficiency - Dedication to excellent customer service Salary and benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience (PAYE) - 23 days holiday per year, with the opportunity to accrue additional days based on length of service, up to a maximum of 25 days - Option to sell back three days of holiday per year or carry them over to the next year - Statutory bank holidays (currently 8) provided - Special arrangements for Christmas Eve and New Year #39;s Eve - Enrolment in the government pension scheme - Provision of a vehicle and fuel card as needed - Company-provided phone and tablet - Supply of all necessary plant tools, including drills, steps, ladders, and heavy-duty power tools - Enhanced pay rates for evening, Saturday, night-time, Sunday, and bank holiday working - Availability for weekend working and participation in the out-of-hours call-out rota - Flexible working arrangements by mutual agreement - Comprehensive in-house training programme, both on-site and off-site, with access to e-learning platforms and development review opportunities - Employee well-being focus, including access to an anonymous external support line
