Multi Skilled Engineer GBP48,500 Per Annum Chester 4 on 6 off Shifts (2 days/2 nights - 6 off) gap technical are proud to be representing this Manufacturing business in their search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Chester Performance Objectives Servicing repair of equipment on site. Carry out electrical and mechanical planned maintenance tasks without supervision Complete reactive /corrective actions returning equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels following fault diagnosis. To attend emergency breakdowns, identify faults and carry out effective repairs to all lifting equipment. These will generally be electrical problems, possibly PLC related. Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and complete remedial work briefing Engineering Team on issue, cause and recommended solution Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks in line with TPM objectives. Brief the Engineering Manager / Lead Technician, liaising with engineering planner of the task and its purpose. Train other engineers on how to perform new tasks.Person Specification Electrical and Mechanical ability essential, PLC knowledge desirable. Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C G/NVQ Level 3. Able to read electrical drawings. Able to read Hydraulics / pneumatics circuits. Read and produce mechanical drawings. Ability to logically fault find, Knowledge of, PPS, 8D problem solving tools. Carried out PPM on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
