Milestone Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work with one of our partnered schools in Birmingham. As a Learning Support Assistant in our partnered school, you will be working with children with SEND, providing support and guidance to help them reach their individual milestones. What will you be doing: * Be actively involved in supporting pupils rsquo; day-to-day learning and development. * Supporting communication and language development through the use of British Sign Language * Supporting ongoing assessment, recording, and reporting of pupils rsquo; progress. * Ensuring that all pupils receive a high standard of physical and emotional care. * Support pupils #39; personal care and medical needs where necessary. * Supporting the class teacher with delivering lessons both inside and outside the classroom. What do you need: * A strong understanding and knowledge of British Sign Language * An understanding of children rsquo;s development needs. * Experience working with children or adults with additional needs. * Ability to work as part of a supportive and encouraging team. * Enhanced DBS (can be obtained during the interview process) Hours: 8.30am ndash; 3.30pm, Monday ndash; Friday (Term Time only) Salary: GBP22,500 ndash; GBP29,550 FTE per annum (actual salary based on experience) About The School: The school is a place where pupils with Severe Complex Learning Disabilities, aged 2-19 years enjoy learning and value their relationships with each other and staff.
