Role Overview The IT Support Manager role combines the essential components of leading the front-of-house IT support team to deliver best of class BAU support to the business; being an effective solutions provider to enable the business in the digital space and collaborating with IT functions across the wider Bupa UK digital services divisions. The role will involve the management of both BAU and project activities and working closely with other members of the IT management team on continual service improvement plans. What you’ll do: Leading the EUC IT Support teams (1st and 2nd line) and managing the day-to-day IT Support operations. Working in a collaborative fashion with other members of the IT management team to deliver digital services to the hospital. Stakeholder management with colleagues within the wider business community. Vendor and supplier management. Always maintain a strong Customer focus. Responsible for the security of Bupa and Patient data. Managing communications to the business on both non-scheduled and scheduled maintenance. Responsible for the security of Bupa and Patient data. The successful candidate will inspire and mentor junior staff to improve their understanding of and competence in technology within a clinical environment. What you’ll bring: Demonstrable experience of managing an IT Support team, preferably within the healthcare industry. Experience of working with ITSM applications such as ‘Service Now’. Experience of managing multiple devices (notebook, table, PC and phone). Demonstrable experience with VOIP systems and other telephony applications. Experience with cyber security tooling (end point security for EUC environment). Experience working with the Microsoft ‘365’ application stack. Basic to intermediate understanding of data networking principles. Prior experience in a 2nd or 3rd line IT support role. Why Bupa? We are a health insurer and provider.
