Job description:

Desktop Support role within an investment bank. This is a Trade Floor Support role that will support a multi asset class trading floor, and will include supporting Market Data products. The role will also touch a variety of other technologies, to include Infrastructure, Networking, Application Support Voice. The role will be based in the City 5 days per week on a two shift system (7am – 3pm and 11am - 7pm). The role will suit a second or third jobber with the ability to take ownership and stand on their own two feet. Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanour are essential. Key Skills for the Desktop Support position include: The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong ability to communicate effectively with traders and other staff members from junior staff to C-suite executives. Committed to own issues end to end and to deliver the highest quality service in a fast-paced environment. Committed to constant service improvement. Willingness to step beyond the role occasionally to help colleagues in other IT teams deliver outcomes. Deep specialisation in Desktop Support in an environment where a wide range of technologies are supported. Financial Services or Insurance experience preferred.
