Secondary Teacher Location: York, North Yorkshire Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP46,525 per annum Start Date: September 2024 GSL Education are seeking dynamic Secondary Teacher to work at a thriving Secondary Schools in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2024. Secondary Teacher Responsibilities: Planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons to students based on the curriculum guidelines and educational standards. Creating lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students. Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, asking questions, and participating actively in discussions. Monitoring and recording student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance, and communicating this information to parents and school administrators as required. Participating in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions to contribute to the overall improvement of the school and students #39; learning experience. Foster a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and a love for learning. Secondary Teaching Assistant Requirements: Secondary teaching experience, with at least 12 months of classroom teaching experience (placements can be counted). Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with valid teaching qualification (such as B.Ed. or B.A) with a PGCE. Teachers having ECT/NQT status are also welcome to apply. Passionate about teaching and in command of techniques to keep students engrossed. The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively. The ability to direct a team of Support Assistants and work as part of a wider team across school if need be. Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management, lesson-planning, patience and empathy. Provide a safe and supportive environment where all pupils are encouraged to learn, progress, and have aspirations for the future. Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
