Mechanical Technician (Maintenance) A GBP 31487.89 + A GBP 1200.00 Shift Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Overtime available at premium rates (average 5 hours per week) + Pension + Training and Development Tonbridge Double Days rotating weekly: 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. Maintenance Technician required for a manufacturer of high quality bespoke and commercial products relating to the interior sector. This is a role with a great opportunity for growth and has variety due to project work and a broad variation in equipment. The Successful Maintenance Technician will come from a transferable Mechanical Engineering background. You will have competency in gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and bearings. You will have either some basic welding and/or fabrication/machining experience. You can come from any transferable industry but those from manufacturing, with any machinery maintenance or service engineering backgrounds will be encouraged , Ex Forces and experienced mechanical fitters will also be considered. Any form of technical qualification will be advantageous, but merit and experience is all that is required. The Maintenance Technician Role: * Working between projects, reactive maintenance and PPMs. * Working on shift with other Maintenance Engineers , prioritising workloads to minimise breakdowns. * Carrying out modifications of existing machinery and equipment. * Sometimes fabricating parts and materials in the workshop. * Always looking to improve efficiency of lines, machinery and maintenance where possible.
