We estimate that there are 22,300 children in bed poverty in Tees Valley, which will be affecting children rsquo;s ability to engage in their education. Family Engagement Manager Tees Valley, Hartlepool Starting from GBP18,000, with progression to GBP20,400 (FTE salary GBP30,000-GBP34,000) 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE) Who are we looking for? We are looking for a part time Family Engagement Manager to launch and lead our Family Engagement activity in the Tees Valley region. You will initially assist in recruiting a team of volunteers to deliver the agreed National Family Engagement model. The Family Engagement team is the first point of contact for the families that are referred. This role involves coordinating these visits and initially being part of the home visit process. The first element is to review bed requirements and follow up wellbeing visits to help signpost to services and ensure engagement in education. This role also involves being the Safeguarding Lead. We are expecting a rapid increase in the number of families we can help over the next four years. We aim to launch in the Tees Valley at 22 beds a week moving towards a target of 250 a week in the coming years. As this activity increases, the role will also be involved in recruiting and then managing a team of two Family Engagement Officers who will in turn coordinate the team of volunteers. What will you need? We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in family support services, either within a school setting, social care or a health and social well-being role. This must involve having worked with vulnerable adults and children, with experience and knowledge of community outreach work and signposting in the local area. The right person will have suitable experience and knowledge around Safeguarding. We need someone who is proactive and organised, a good communicator with high levels of empathy and always puts families and our mission first. Closing date: Monday 6th May 2024, 5pm.
