Children 39;s senior support worker

Children rsquo;s Senior Support Worker Atrium are recruiting on behalf of a client for Senior Support Workers to provide support to Children with Emotional Behaviour Disorders, Autism/ Learning difficulties. Each service has its own specialism, and has a dynamic and forward thinking approach to the child or young person rsquo;s issues. Responsibilities include: middot; Your most significant contribution is that of a professional parent, nurturing and caring for the young people looked after by the organisation. middot; You will take a child-centred approach in providing high quality care that will enable each young person to grow and develop healthily. middot; You will implement and maintain clear and consistent boundaries necessary for the creation of a safe and secure environment necessary for each young person to flourish. middot; As the provision of high quality childcare requires team work, you will need to be an active and willing participant in all team activities (i.e. weekly team meeting, training, etc). middot; You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as on occasions you may be required to cover a shift due to absences allowing the children and young people to receive consistent care from recognised carers. To care for young people means that you will be required to sleep-in as part of a shift. Support of Staff: middot; Ensure the day-to-day management is facilitated in a professional and competent manner. To promote professionalism and standards to the team in line with policy and procedures. middot; Participate in regular staff meetings which are informative, produce action and are minuted. middot; Provide support to the Service Manager and cover in the Deputy Manager rsquo;s absence and annual leave. middot; To report to a manager/regional or other appropriate person, malpractice, suspicions or evidence which may suggest it.
