CNC Sliding Head Setter / Programmer Location - Birmingham, West Midlands Salary - GBP45K - GBP52K Basic + Days Only Role - Mon-Fri Permanent Position Our client, a precision engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled CNC Sliding Head Setter / Programmer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to customer specifications. Key Responsibilities: Setting and operating of Citizen Sliding Head lathes which include L20 #39;s, L32 #39;s (LFV). Setting and operating of Miyano Fixed Head lathes using the fanuc system. Programming new jobs from existing program templates. Adjust machine settings and tool offsets as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and gauges, to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Maintain machine cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as necessary. Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Requirements: Time-served experience or certificated accreditation in CNC Machining. Experience with Fanuc controls is essential. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues. Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
