Mechanical maintenance engineer

A globally renowned, market-leading engineering organisation are looking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Shift based 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights) 7 am ndash; 7pm/ 7pm ndash; 7am. The focus will be able to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and services associated with a clean FMCG Manufacturing environment. * To provide engineering resource in carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modification or upgrade to plant and services in order to minimise downtime and maintain the equipment in the best possible condition. * To strive towards continuous improvement of all machinery and equipment in order to effectively reduce engineering downtime, thereby maintaining plant availability, efficiency, productivity and product quality. * To carry out all engineering work to high Engineering, Quality, Safety and Hygienic standards. * Deliver turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost[1]efficient manner. To be considered for this position, you must have strong industry experience, ideally with welding and fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will: * Have experience in FMCG environment, ideally food sector. * Have excellent analytical skills and be PC literate. * Have basic food hygiene experience
