Fabric engineer

Fabric Engineer - Static - Birmingham - Salary up to GBP30,000 DOE CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on-site, he or she will be required to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance. Key responsibilities: Carry out PPM works on but not limited to the following; doors, fire doors, carpet tiles, ceiling tiles, painting, drains, locks and hinges Undertake any allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor, Manager and Helpdesk ensuring that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the site Integrate and communicate effectively with contractors and electrical, mechanical, and building services staff Carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns, damage, and other building fabric requirementsPerson specification: A strong fabric/carpentry knowledge is required General knowledge of maintenance works Formal carpentry and joinery qualifications Valid Driving licence This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.Salary Benefits: Salary of up to GBP30,000 DOE 24 days annual leave (+ public holidays) Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers Gym membership discounts Holiday purchase scheme 2 corporate social responsibility days per year Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes Attractive Employee Referral Rewards SchemeHours: 37.5 Hour week On call rota 1 in 4
