Principal Analyst, GC/MS Location: Newmarket Type: Permanent Salary: upto GBP40,000 depending on experience Russell Taylor Group is working with a global testing company who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Chemist ready to step up into a Principal role or an established PA looking for a change in their career. The Role: bull; Adherence to the QMS including root cause analysis and communicating with clients on technical matters. bull; Assistance in maintenance programs for the Departments specific analytical instrumentation and any other analytical equipment used by the Department. Maintenance procedures shall ensure that instruments are kept in a clean and serviceable condition and that routine in house maintenance procedures are kept up to date. bull; Develop and implement business improvement ideas, across all areas of the organics lab. bull; Assist with fixing instruments when they are out of service bull; Investigate and conduct non routine methodology and data generation as required by client and business bull; Support organics department in areas requiring advanced expertise in analytical chemistry bull; Perform on-going training for organic laboratory team bull; Respond to client queries in a prompt and professional manner, either directly, or in support of other colleagues bull; To comply with ISO 17025:2017 and MCERTS requirements of your role, and perform any other reasonable duties. bull; To assist others in the performance of their duties if trained in that area of operation and if time allows. bull; Responsibility for investigation of nonconformances within the methods bull; Assist with all internal and external audits including co-operation on investigation of all audit actions. bull; To comply with all Health and Safety and ISO14001 requirements of the role, and perform any other reasonable duties as required by the business. The Person: bull; Will hold a Degree in a relevant - Scientific/ Chemistry based discipline (or higher) bull; 5+ years experience in an analytical - organic testing laboratory working to UKAS 17025 standards bull; GC MS/ GC method development experience method validation experience bull; Experience in training analysts on associated test equipment QMS. bull; Experience in reporting analytical results internally and externally bull; Strong interpersonal skills Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
