Job title: Customs Coordinator - Freight Location: Basingstoke Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP31,000 Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays Hours: Mon Thu 08:00- 17:00 / Fri 08:00 - 16:30 Our client is one of the fastest growing, privately owned freight forwarding specialists in the UK who are still proud to be truly independent. Due to continued growth plans, we are now seeking to appoint a new customs clearance professional to our growing, friendly customs team from our head offices in Basingstoke. We are looking for a freight operator or customs coordinator who is analytically minded with meticulous attention to detail. The successful Customs Coordinator will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient in Import and Export customs entries/clearances Customs Coordinator - Freight - Requirements Proficiency in UK / EU Customs regulations Excellent working knowledge of import and export customs procedures Strong communication skills. Proficient using both customs software (ASM, DESTIN8) and MS applications. Customs Coordinator - Freight - Role responsibilities Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all Import Export customs, procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements Processing Import/Export customs declarations Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures An extensive knowledge of Customs Commodity Codes would a great advantage Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls All other duties related to the process of clearing freight/shipments through customs Management of the full shipping freight forwarding process would be an advantage WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
