Vacancy Summary Job Title: Project Manager (Pre-Construction) Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: #1057 Location: Hertfordshire (hybrid working available) Start Date: ASAP Salary: cGBP65k + package (inc car or allowance, health, pension, bonus etc) Company Project: An award winning and highly successful Main Contractor operating across multiple sectors including Mixed-Use, Leisure, Residential and Education are currently recruiting for a talented and ambitious Project Manager to complement their Pre Construction team working on 2-stage projects. The client has a very good reputation in the market for work winning and build quality, with a varied project pipeline that includes projects across New Build and Refurbishment sectors. Our client has an enviable order book already secured for 2024/25 but they are continuing to target new business and grow their team. Duties Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a multi-disciplinary team through 2nd stage procurement, initially joinin the business working alongside an experienced Bid Manager and then in the near future leading teams independently. Previous experience working as either a Project Manager (Pre-Construction) or in a transferable discipline such as Design Management, Planning, Bid Management, Project Management Client Side. Desirable Experience: 5 years+ UK experience working for a Main Contractor or Consultancy. Excellent communication skills, ambitious and looking to develop their career in Bid / Pre-Con Project Management. Good knowledge of construction management process and techniques. Previous roles: Project Manager OR Pre-Construction Project Manager OR Assistant Bid Manager OR Bid Coordinator OR OR Design Manager OR Planner OR Assistant Framework Manager. Qualifications Skills: Degree, NVQ or MSc in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or comparable qualification.
