Draughtsman

ROLE - Draughtman LOCATION- Tamworth TERM- Permanent SALARY- GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client is a world leading manufacturer of specialist equipment for the Automotive, Aerospace and Surface Coatings industries. They are looking for an experience Draughtsman to join their team near Tamworth on a permanent basis. Past experience with Pressure Vessels or Strainers / Filters is necessary for this role. The Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes: Minimum of 3-4 years rsquo; experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skillsThe Draughtsman role will involve: Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involved in final assembly of products Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans Updating 3D models and drawings Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs Checking drawings for sign off Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
