Test lead

Do you want to help build the testing environment for one of the UK rsquo;s leading retailers? You rsquo;ll be joining an IT department implementing testing for the first time thus giving you the autonomy to help implement best practice, move the business towards automation, and manage 3rd party testers. As a Test Lead you rsquo;ll work closely with the Test Manager to define testing strategy, select appropriate tooling, grow the team, and implement test automation. You rsquo;ll manage all test activities for key IT projects, mentor junior members of the team, maintain test documentation, orchestrating UAT testing, design and execute test cases, implement new testing initiatives, and evaluate the overall performance of the test function. The role is based in Burton on Trent, 3 days a week in the office (2 from home) at the start but will reduce to a more flexible hybrid approach once you rsquo;re settled in. With the role being hybrid please ensure that you live a commutable distance from Burton on Trent before applying. SALARY: up to GBP50 000 depending on experience Ideally you will have: Experience of test automation with a real interest in this area. Mentoring of less experienced test analysts. Proficient in use of test tools e.g. JIRA. Working experience of generating and executing functional, non-functional and regression tests.
