Warehouse supervisor

Job Type: Full-time Salary: From GBP13.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 ndash; 60 per week Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Job Summary: our client are recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and co-ordinate their operation in Great Yarmouth. The successful candidate will implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards and ensure that daily requirements are met to increase the company rsquo;s overall service level. Key Responsibilities * Manage Small team of warehouse operatives. * Manage operational KPI reports. * Measure and report the effectiveness of employee rsquo;s performance. * Identify Areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust work procedures and practices. * Ensure Health Safety rules regulations are adhered to including Fire Drills, Racking Checks, Forklift Checks, and any other equipment checks that are required. * Keyholder and fire alarm 1st responder. You will * Lead - show the warehouse team how it is done, leading by example and being responsible for that shift. Training new team members and being confident on process and product. * Picking and packing - accurately pick and pack items on a per order basis for dispatch to customers. * Container De-vanning ndash; Unload containers and palletise goods to meet customer expectation within agreed times. * Issue resolution: Contact customer for substituted or out-of-stock items. * Goods in/out: Receive product from vendors, ensuring physical count matches purchase order/invoice, and resolving discrepancies. * Stock management: Put away products to inventory locations and conduct Regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock at all times. * Warehouse management: keep the warehouse clean, organized and a space you can be proud of. Requirements * Previous experience in a warehouse supervisor or similar role * A proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment. * Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and engage your team. * Experience of using a WMS and able to demonstrate best practices. * The ability to lift and move heavy objects safely. * A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential and Bendi Forklift License is highly desirable (training provided if needed!). * A keen eye for detail and accuracy in record-keeping. * A proactive attitude and a knack for problem-solving Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * On-site parking
