School Chef GBP15.54 per hour, HG1, Monday to Friday, Term time only, Pension, Training, Temporary role Following a change of structure we have the opportunity for an experienced chef to join the catering team of a well regarded secondary school in Harrogate Working as a school chef you will: Prepare and cook meals for pupils from set menus Work with kitchen and catering staff to ensure an efficient lunch service Supervise the kitchen team as and when required Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety and food allergy legislation We would expect the successful candidate to have experience of working in a large professional kitchen as a chef or a cook. Experience of working in a childcare setting would be beneficial although training can be given. This would be an ideal role if you have a catering or hospitality background and are looking for a role offering daytime hours in Harrogate. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You will be joining the catering team of a well regarded Harrogate secondary school, working with the wider facilities team to ensure all pupil needs are met. Due to the restructuring this is a temporary role but could lead to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The role offers weekday hours of 8am - 2pm term time only and a pay rate of GBP15.54 per hour, job shares will also be considered.
