They are now seeking an experienced General Manager to make the following role their own: The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the business, reporting directly into the European Board Oslo. You will have 8 direct reports with overall responsibility for 54 staff across 3 manufacturing sites. This role will require someone who is at home with commercial operational management, this includes; departmental oversight (production, engineering / technical, transport, sales) and P L management. This is a stand-alone role and you are expected to operate as a true G.M. with little support at a Group level. Sites are located in Scotland and Northamptonshire. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be located within travelling distance from Northamptonshire and will be required to visit Scotland on a fortnightly basis. The objectives for the General Manager include: middot; Developing the commercial aspects of the new Corby site. middot; An excellent eye for detail. Particularly in controlling costs and efficiencies middot; Commercially aware, with proven track record of increasing the top line and at good margin middot; Able to lead and motivate a Sales Team middot; Good at nurturing and developing talent. middot; To lead the company commercially and ensure that it remains market focused; in terms of product development, service offering and customer relationships. middot; Drive the company rsquo;s commercial activities including marketing, sales, customer service and pricing. Candidate #39;s Profile: The ideal General Manager will demonstrate competencies in the following areas: middot; A proven track record of managing the full P L responsibility middot; A proven track record of implementing and executing business strategies. middot; A strong leadership style that can manage a range of business functions and personalities. middot; Directly managing the field sales team including taking the sales lead on key client meeting and making pricing decisions. middot; Have previously held responsibility for several business functions including operations and sales for at least 5-10 Years. middot; Good commercial knowledge of the Construction market. middot; Excellent communication skills. middot; Technically competent with a production management background For reasons of better legibility, the simultaneous use of the language forms male, female and diverse (f/m/d) is avoided.
