Quantity Surveyor ndash; Civils Location: Wokingham Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP60,000 Hunter Mason rsquo;s Client Hunter Mason rsquo;s client has extensive years of experience in the construction and civil engineering industry. Our client has now identified the need for a quantity surveyor who has experience across a variety of sectors such as Civils, Water, Highways, Rail, Defence and Utilities to join their expanding team. Key Responsibilities: * Conducting cost estimates, budget preparation, and cost control for assigned projects. * Managing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors. * Conducting risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project costs. * Collaborating with project managers to ensure financial goals are met. * Regularly updating project financial reports and providing insights to stakeholders. * Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in a Project Quantity Surveyor role. * Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and industry best practices. * Strong background in the Civils, Water, Highways, Rail, Defence and Utilities sector. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft). * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Relevant professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field. * Experience with EV projects would be desirable but not essential
