Quantity surveyor

While they are a multidisciplinary consulting firm, their principal focus is on the delivery of professional services in the areas of: building infrastructure, energy environment, water services and resources, project management, and general services function across each of these business areas. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join this team. Responsibilities: * Prepare cost estimates throughout the various stages of the design and pre tender * Advise the Client on procurement strategies and prepare Tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities * Implement Value Engineering opportunities, managing VE opportunities * Assist in establishing client rsquo;s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies of design options and additional items * Perform risk and value management and cost control * Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks * Prepare and analyse tender costings * Assist the Team in providing advice on contractual claims * Value and approve completed work and certifying payments to consultants and contractors * Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use * Understand the implications of health and safety regulations * Assist the Team in managing and agreeing the final account for the projects Requirements: * BSc Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying * 8+ years experience in consultancy background with Irish experience preferably or UK in terms of procurement and management of projects * Chartered Membership of RCSI is an advantage but guidance will be given on APC with the aim of achieving Chartership * Proficient in use of Excel, Cubit and Buildsoft * Attention to Detail including good presentation and writing skills * Strong construction knowledge and experience in Building and Civil Works Projects * Firm understanding and working experience of Contracts and Procurement methods including GCCC Contracts If you rsquo;re interested in this role, kindly forward an up-to-date copy of your CV in a word format.
