Mechanical maintenance technician

Opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a global company that has been trading for over 140 years. Work life balance: The role is days-based Monday to Friday (7am-3:15pm Mon-Thurs and 7am-2:30pm on a Friday) with some occasional need to work outside of that and to form part of an on-call rota - keep your evenings and weekends free! What you will do as the Mechanical Maintenance Technician: Working as part of a multi-disciplined maintenance team to ensure any breakdowns and repair work are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner. Assist in the delivery of a planned maintenance system. Updating relevant records and documentation within the computerised maintenance system. Contribute to project, upgrade and improvement work as needed. Ensure that all safety, health and environmental standards and policies are being adhered to. Work collaboratively with all departments to improve reliability and performance. Assist the engineering stores controller to ensure that inventory is optimised.What you need to apply for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician position: A recognised mechanical engineering / maintenance qualification gained from a time-served apprenticeship.
