Client: Established 90 years ago, our client is recognised as a market leading contractor throughout the UK and Europe. With a specialism in commercial office and data centres projects, they also work in public, retail, health, education, leisure, residential and pharmaceutical sectors. Their experience ranges from small work contracts circa GBP500k to major projects in excess of GBP100M. Key to their success is the development of good working relationships with their Leading consultancies and end users; delivering notable scenes across London, the UK and Europe. As a result, they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. As a result of investment and improving market conditions the business has recently secured a number of key project wins. Their 2024 turnover is expected to be in excess of GBP500M with GBP300M already secured for 2025. As a result, they are actively looking to recruit for their commercial team. Role: Senior M E Quantity Surveyor ndash; London ndash; Salary GBP90,000 - GBP95,000 + Car Allowance + Travel Expenses + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus Your will be responsible for running a major Data Centre new build in West London which is a GBP150m project. You will be fully responsible for the commercial and surveying functions on your Projects from Tender Handover to Final Account stage. For this position you will have experience of Fit Out and Shell Core / Infrastructure Projects working for similar leading companies in these sectors. Key to this role is managing and developing more junior surveyors. You will have a team supporting you on all projects to manage, which is a great part of the business to assist in all aspects. They have detailed processes in place, contract support with lawyers and the chance to work towards a commercial management role. Role/Responsibilities: * Candidate will take a lead role in the procurement process and ensure all Sub Contracts are placed correctly with the appropriate Main Contract Terms included * You will oversee and manage the production of the variation account and the agreement process with the Client and be responsible for compiling of monthly project cost reports and the presentation of this to the Company Directors * An ability to build relationships with your project team and their clients is a must. You will need to be a good communicator, self motivated, and be comfortable with multi-tasking and working to deadlines. * Experience with production of cost plans, and full M E Tenders for projects would be a benefit. * As a Senior Surveyor you will be responsible for managing other Surveyors of varying levels and provide support and training in order to develop their abilities and understanding.
