Active travel design engineer

Contract: 12 + Months Role Active Travel Design Engineer working in a 7-member team on projects for Dublin City Council. The team are based in Smithfield, Dublin City Centre, alongside Dublin County Council. Required to be in the co-located office for a minimum of 3 days per week. Responsibilities: * Assisting senior staff with technical support for various projects and consulting commissions. * Attendance at public consultation events. * Review work prepared by others on the technical team. * Overseeing works by sub-consultants and liaising with other specialist. * Designing active travel schemes, cycling facilities, junction standards and pedestrian facilities. * Undertaking site visits to capture and analysis of survey data. * Gathering survey data on pedestrians, cycling, public transport and traffic speed accidents. * Ensuring all project files are up to date and comply with the QA system.
