QUANTITY SURVEYOR Full Time Quantity Surveyor position in Manchester Salary is between GBP35-GBP55k (DOE) We are looking for a forward thinking, organised, motivated individual to join our client rsquo;s busy Quantity Surveying department in Manchester. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of construction projects. Your expertise in cost control will contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of the projects. The role will involve Financial Management of contracts in the residential commercial sector. Including: bull; Subcontractor Labour Payments bull; External monthly valuations monitoring of outstanding monies bull; Ordering Materials bull; Managing Variations bull; Remeasurement of Works bull; Tendering Candidates must have the following experience and skills: bull; Minimum HNC/HND in a Quantity Surveying related course. bull; At least 2 years rsquo; UK experience. bull; Good computer literacy including Excel cloud based contractor specific applications. bull; Good communication teamworking skills Duties to include: - Preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Conducting feasibility studies and cost analysis. Performing quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities. Evaluating tenders and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors Monitoring project costs and provide regular cost reports to management Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options Reviewing and assess variations and change orders Collaborating with project teams to ensure cost control measures are implemented effectively Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
