The Projects As a highly experienced Senior Planner, based in the North West, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various large commercial and education new build / refurbishment projects. You will be coordinating the planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure a smooth and successful completion. Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum; Extensive background, 5 years minimum of effectively operating in a Planner position or similar, working on various large commercial and education new builds and refurbishments A demonstrated track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects, delivered on time and within budgetAdditional skills; IT skills Ability to negotiation effectively Strong strategic and analytical thinking Proficient in relevant planning software Strong communication and attention to details A wide understanding of construction laws and regulations The ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the project A solid understanding of construction planning processes, materials, and methodologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders The Role Job Title: Senior Planner Job Type: Permanent Project: Various projects in North West Location: North West Reporting to: Operations Director Duties Support and mentor planning teams Participate in strategic decision-making Procure essential permits and approvals Reporting directly to Operations Director Conduct thorough onsite progress assessments Develop project budgets and oversee expenditure Maintain and oversee relationships with stakeholders Oversee the planning process from initiation to completion Implement effective measures to sustain project momentum Effectively oversee, monitor, and nurture positive client relationships Implement risk management plans to address unforeseen challenges Monitor and manage project timelines to ensure adherence to deadlines Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables Oversee and resolve project issues as they emerge during project lifecycle Supervise the planning phases of tendering and contracting across all projects Ensure projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectively Support and aid the contracts teams in crafting short-term, target, and revised schedules as needed Collaborate with site and project management team, assuring the smooth and successful completion of project Consistently assess planning schedules and promptly take necessary steps to secure the successful conclusion of projects Verify the precision of specified tender and contract schedules in collaboration with the appropriate project team This is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
