Technical Sales Manager GBP50-55,000 very dep on experience + Bonus + Profit Share + Car Allowance+ Exceptional Benefits + Flexi hours Global Engineering and Manufacturing business Caerphilly area This Technical Sales Account Manager role is an exciting newly created role within a global group of manufacturing companies. You are likely to be currently working for a Manufacturing or Engineering company and be experienced in a Technical Sales Manager or Account Manager or Business Development role. Experience in a Sales Engineer remit would be an advantage as would experience of working in the Automotive component or Aerospace or Engineering industry. middot; Managing Allocated Customer Accounts - customer satisfaction and P L responsibility. This is not a role managing a Sales Team middot; Identify and develop business opportunities in line with a clear commitment to meeting the current customer rsquo;s requirements and delivering a high-quality service. middot; Prospect for new customers that fit with the commercial and sales strategy and effectively manage them into the business. middot; Oversee and Manage Account Managers performance. middot; Be the first point of contact for allocated customers - maintain and develop relationships with all relevant contacts within the customers ndash; regularly visit allocated customers middot; Prospect for additional business within allocated customers middot; Responsible for P L and margin maintenance / development middot; Obtain future significant changes in demand and forecast build information middot; Assist Quality department in the commercial and contractual analysis of returned parts and Warranty Recall. middot; Construct/Maintain customer application charts and listing of contacts middot; Support Customer Service Planners to help resolve supply issues middot; Support the Accounts Department to help resolve any invoicing queries middot; Support the Purchasing Department to help resolve any commercial issue impacting customer account performance middot; Be the voice of the customer within the Company. Primary Role - Business Development middot; With the Head of Sales, develop and implement a sales strategy that aligns with the Companies goals for growth and profitability. middot; Focus on complementing current customer portfolio. middot; Develop the Battery Energy Storage Solution market ndash; Liaise with other sites to ensure markets and potential customers are contacted, and aligned middot; Develop monthly visit plans to potential customers ndash; target minimum of 1-2 per month middot; Attend industry events and conferences to identify new business opportunities middot; RFQs ndash; manage the response to the customer middot; Review documentation received including contract review and present requirements internally middot; Set timing for collecting the responses middot; Set/agree margin with the Head of Sales and prepare QADS and quotations middot; Meet quotation date within the agreed time frame with the customer middot; Ensure documentation is catalogued and archived in line with certification and auditing requirements middot; Ensure smooth handover of new customers to Account Managers / Business Development Managers middot; Working on account management plans with the account managers middot; Monitoring account managers in line with KPI rsquo;s set by the Head of Sales Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in business, marketing, or an Engineering discipline with technical knowledge and/or any equivalent combination of training and experience. You are likely to be currently working for a Manufacturing company as a Sales Manager, Account Manager or in a Business Development role middot; Experience in sales of technical or industrial products would be ideal Previous Work Experience: middot; Experience in sales of technical, capital equipment or industrial products in Sales Management Specific Knowledge / Skills Competence: middot; Excellent communication skills middot; Good leadership qualities middot; Excellent interpersonal skills middot; Understanding of the importance of customer service middot; Ability to carry out personnel evaluations, set performance targets, engage new employees, identify and possibly deliver training. middot; Must be self-motivated ndash; the candidate will need to set themselves challenging targets and be responsible for delivering on given commitments Experience gained in Automotive or Aerospace industry would be ideal with strong Business Development experience You must have a minimum of 3 years + experience in a similar sales role and be able to commute to the manufacturing site on a regular daily basis.
