Arqiva are looking for a specialist engineer with experience of maintenance and fault resolution on complex broadcast and media systems. As we manage and maintain over 4,500 transmitters, combiners, feeders, antennas, masts and towers in the UK, we need your help to develop and maintain the infrastructure that delivers the broadcast signals straight to homes, including Freeview and YouView televisions. Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Total Package * Upto GBP45,000 base salary * 5% Shift Allowance * Company vehicle * 6% pension contribution * Private Medical * 25 days annual leave * Access to our comprehensive flexible benefits including discounts on big brands, wellness and employee assistance programmes, gymflex, buy and sell annual leave, travel and dental insurance Must haves * In depth experience of antenna and RF equipment design, installation, commissioning and maintenance * Experience in testing equipment such (Field Fox, Site Master, VNA etc) * Experience in working at height, mast rescue techniques * Driving licence (full UK) * Willing to travel throughout the UK * Prepared to stay away from your home location for periods of time Key Responsibilities: bull; Carry out a program of preventative and when necessary corrective maintenance on a wide variety of critical broadcast antennas, telecommunication antennas and combiner systems across the UK to the satisfaction of our customers and processes bull; Work with the Senior Antenna Engineer to ensure that we have sufficient spares available to meet our contractual obligations within your area. Ensure that the record of these spares is kept in the correct manner as laid out by the processes of the department bull; Work within the operating processes laid down for your department and the company as a whole bull; Take part in a mandatory call out rota to ensure that an escalation route and emergency response is always available from within the Antenna Systems team bull; To be familiar with the antenna related Disaster and Emergency equipment in order to utilise it effectively when called upon bull; To act as an internal and external consultant providing specialist advice on matters relating to your business area bull; Maintain a secure working environment in line with the requirements of the Arqiva Security Policy in order to protect individuals, information and Arqiva assets Carry out RF Surveys as and when required for operational needs as well as for accreditation purposes Carry out RF Surveys as and when required for operational needs as well as for accreditation purposes. bull; Experience of maintenance and fault resolution on complex media systems; supports root cause analysis to resolve complex or recurring problems. bull; Specialises in one or more areas of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms etc.; Why join Arqiva?
