Accounts assistant

The role of an Accounts Assistant is to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong numeracy skills, and a thorough understanding of the financial sector, particularly within the Energy Natural Resources industry. Description Keeping accurate financial records for all transactions. Preparing balance sheets and reports. Processing invoices and following up on payment. Preparing budgets and financial reports. Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets. Updating and maintaining financial data in the database. Performing administrative support functions as required. Working closely with the accounting team to create and analyse financial reports.Profile A successful Accounts Assistant should have: A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong numerical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant software (e.g. SAP). Qualifications in Business, Accounting or relevant field.Job Offer A competitive salary up to GBP30k per annum.
