Finance manager

A great opportunity to join a luxury retail business as Finance Manager, reporting into the Financial Controller and holding line management responsibility of 1 team member. You will lead the finance team and play a crucial role in driving continued growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including consolidations, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and ambitious individual to join a dynamic and fast-paced company. Responsibilities: Lead the finance team in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including consolidated financial statements. Ownership of shipping taxes compliance Manage the monthly and annual financial closing process. Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts Develop and implement financial policies and procedures. Oversee the budgeting process and monitor actual performance against budget. Be the point of contact for external auditors. Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Business Partner with other departments across the business to form strong relationships.Requirements: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or similar) Experience within retail is a benefit but not mandatory Experience within duties and sales taxes, VAT returns and shipping implications is beneficial, but not mandatory Experience in consolidations, including preparing and presenting consolidated financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, notably including GAAP.
