Having been established for over 35 years, my client has developed a wide range of specialist contracting services to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Current turnover stands at GBP100M and with a large, highly skill, directly employed workforce, this client has a strong reputation for delivering demanding projects to high standards, within programme and budget. About the opportunity: Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting permanently for a Bid Writer to join their national business team. The opportunity will be based at their head office in Nottingham with potential travel throughout the region. As a Bid Writer, initial works include writing of quality tender submissions for works including highways, major projects and civil engineering works throughout varying sectors with the position taking on the writing lead in all relevant fields. Working within the Preconstruction teams, as a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for managing several bids at once in a demanding and fast paced environment; proof reading and rewriting inbound tender information; creating visually attractive client presentations for pre/during/post tender period; maintaining and improving the bid response library, including reviewing post tender submission client feedback and managing the end-to-end bid process to name just a few duties. For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, a generous package will be offered including 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), 5% contribution to your pension and private healthcare. About the requirements: In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is essential you hold 3 years rsquo; experience within bid writing which must have been gained whilst working within the civil engineering industry in the UK. As a Bid Writer, you will be able to write a variety of responses and documents, demonstrate good use of English and have the ability to convert draft notes into proposals. Due to the nature of the opportunity, you must be able to show the ability to work to strict deadlines, hold good IT skills and have experience of InDesign. Additionally as this opportunity is office based, you must be able to commute to Nottingham on a daily basis.
