Accountant

Our client is currently looking for an Accountant to join their team. In this role, you #39;ll be responsible for managing all financial and accounting functions for our UK sites. You #39;ll work closely with the European Finance director to coordinate financial information and provide reports to the UK Senior manager and department Managers. We #39;re looking for someone who can take on the challenge of all the financial management for our UK operations, including handling accounting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control policies. Strong leadership and communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and collaborate with others effectively. Basic Requirements: * Advanced degree in accounting, recognised association of chartered certified accountants necessary * Must have own transport due to remote location but opportunity for part hybrid working * 5+ years of overall combined accounting and financial experience * Outstanding experience using Computer software systems to support the development of software structure and financial information reporting. * Thorough knowledge and experience in emergency management and risk planning. * Exceptional knowledge of Financial UK standards and procedures. * Proficiency in MS Office Tools especially Word and Excel and PowerPoint. Duties and Responsibilities: * Work with the Senior BSU Manager/ Head of Biological Services to ensure compliance. * Manage all accounting operations including financial Nominal ledger, Sales, Purchase ledgers stock and Purchase order processing. * Inventory valuation. * Support the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances with coordination of EU Finance Director. * Prepare and report timely monthly financial pack. * Coordinate with External auditors and EU Finance director draft preparation of regulatory reporting. * Research technical accounting issues for compliance. * Prepare and manage Year end external auditor finance review. * Organise and support the management of the Banks. * Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. * Support the reporting requirements and tax filings.
