Senior EC I CAD Engineer We anticipate a salary of GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 Warrington, Derby or Manchester - Hybrid options available. We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior EC I CAD Engineer, to be involved in an industry-leading, cutting-edge project for a new type of power station. Job Purpose: Reporting to the CAD/BIM Manager, the Senior EC I CAD Engineer shall produce, maintain, and implement CAD strategy, including standards, manuals, environment, templates, content, training material, and Quality Assurance procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical output of the EC I CAD activity, and for planning, reporting, and managing EC I CAD workload as well as enable CAD Coordination of the EC I CAD data in the RR SMR project and the provision of CAD expertise and training when required for the wider RR SMR project team. Key Results What Can Be Achieved in The Role: Plan the activity in coordination with client departments, and CAD/BIM manager. Develop the required EC I CAD environment, processes, standards, and content necessary to produce SLDs, CBDs, Loop Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, 3D models, general arrangement drawings, layout drawings, isometrics, cable schedules, manufacturing and assembly drawings, data (i.e., BoMs). Lead the production of SLDs, CBDs, Loop Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, 3D models, layout drawings, isometrics, cable schedules, manufacturing and assembly drawings, data (i.e., BoMs). Provide with technical support to junior CAD Engineers and to the wider project team. Carry out quality assurance checks and reports as well as review and acceptance support for CAD information. Support other CAD activities as required (i.e., component definition, HVAC, Process, Civils, Structures, and Architecture) The above according to agreed timescales, to the highest quality, and in accordance to industry, and project standards. The Key Selection Criteria: Initial Environment Set Up: Ideally, the candidate shall have experience setting up Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation CAD environments. Including engagement with relevant stakeholders to communicate IT related requirements, CAD tool selection, project defaults set-up, 2D and 3D content libraries creation, attribution setting up, CAD templates creation, in accordance with project and industry standards and best practice. Ongoing Tool Administration: The candidate must be a strong administrator of EC I CAD production environments including the provision of technical support, coordinated system replacements and upgrades, the maintenance of 2D and 3D content libraries. Maintaining the data model, PLM integration, provision of training, engagement with IT and CAD system vendor, etc. CAD Toolkit: Experienced with as many as possible of the following CAD tools: SIEMENS NX Diagramming, Mechanical Routing, and Electrical Routing, Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk REVIT (MEP Tools), AVEVA PDMS or E3D, CAESAR. Experienced in the use of at least one of the following PLM / PDM tools: SIEMENS Teamcenter, Autodesk VAULT, DS PDM or 3D EXPERIENCE. Experienced in the use of the following BIM Coordination tools: Autodesk Navisworks Simulate, Autodesk Navisworks Manage. Confident in the use of the following productivity tools: MS Office (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, etc...) CAD Production: The candidate must be: Proficient in the production of 2D drafting and 3D modelling of EC I CAD information. Experienced in highly regulated construction projects. Experienced in producing Single Line Diagrams, containment models, equipment models, general arrangement and layout drawings, isometric drawings, manufacturing drawings, cable schedules, BoMs, etc. The candidate must be ready to support other CAD activities when required. Technical Authoring: The candidate must have experience writing and maintaining technical documentation such as CAD strategy, CAD standards, manuals, guidance, best practice, etc. Qualifications Training: Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent working experience. Pay and Benefits We anticipate paying a salary of between GBP45,000-GBP55,000 plus:- Bonus - Performance related bonus of up to 12.5% Benefits Allowance - GBP2200, enabling you to create a bespoke package Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
