Position Assistant Design Manager Location Central London Salary GBP40k+ Car allowance + travel paid + 8% pension + 10% bonus What type of company will I be working for? The client are on of the UK rsquo;s leading main contractors, that operate across the UK and boast an annual turnover in excess of GBP1bn. You would be based out of the London office working on London based projects. What projects will I be working on? You rsquo;ll be mainly working in the residential division with the first project being a retrofit cladding scheme in Central London. How will I fit into the design team? You will work collaboratively with our Design Managers/Senior Design Managers supporting the team on residential projects What would my general duties be? Your general duties would be, * Work with the Design Manager to produce and manage the design programme and Information Required Schedule. * Provide guidance to the Project team on design related issues. * Coordinate project team comments and resolve any design related queries with the design team. * Assist in the production of the Proposals, ensuring they are complete and unambiguous. * Review all design deliverables, including specialist supplier elements and interfaces to establish that they are within budget are fully coordinated and are buildable. What experience should I have? We are looking for someone from a design background with knowledge of building methods and technologies, procurement, and risk management. You will have a basic understanding of contracts, contract documentation, planning techniques, management systems, life cycle cost and value.
