Electrical harness engineer

One of the world #39;s largest automotive manufacturers, is currently recruiting for an Electrical Harness Engineer, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. Based in Bedfordshire, you will be working within a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Engineers on a rolling contract basis. Responsibilities of the Electrical Harness Engineer include: * Development of vehicle harnesses and other electrical components * Generate and develop Cost reduction ideas for Low Voltage High Voltage Harnesses * Validation of components * Support Production trials * Manage suppliers to deliver products to Quality, Cost and Timing Qualifications and skills required for the Electrical Harness Engineer position: * Ideally Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or relevant industry experience * Experience of automotive electrical and electronic system development * Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices * Harness layout and application experience * Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections * Excellent communication skills ** PLEASE NOTE ** To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates can work in the UK.
