Engineering planner

Howdens are recruiting Engineering Planners on a days-based role, to join our Engineering team, based at our specialist solid surface production facility at Normanton, West Yorkshire. Reporting to the Group Lead Planner, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop and manage engineering planning systems, planning standards and development of CMMS. You will be working alongside Shift Days maintenance teams and interfacing with operations teams in the pursuit of planning efficient and effective maintenance tasks. What will I be doing? - Integrating Health and Safety into daily work identifying areas to continuously improve. - Develop, implement and maintain a work order preparation and staging process. - Produce work packs which contain all the necessary paperwork, reference materials, parts and specialist equipment to complete the task, including pitstops. - Communication of task cross functionally. - Host planning meetings for customers to influence planning priorities. - Assign work orders to the appropriate skill sets. - Source and collate parts required for planned tasks. - Provide assistance to engineering stores in producing job kits. - Monitor and manage planning KPI rsquo;s. - Develop and manage a closed loop feedback/improvement process for planned tasks. What are we looking for? - An experienced, time served craftsperson with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in an FMCG environment. - Previous maintenance planning experience. - Previous data analysis experience, for the purpose of making improvements. - Strong technical, fault-finding and diagnostic skills, to find and alleviate root causes of problems. - A team player who can lead others in the resolution of technical issues.
