Site manager

Workload Ltd are currently representing a leading Fit Out and refurbishment contractor based in Manchester who due to growth are recruiting for a Construction Site Manager. The ideal applicant will have 5 years experience within the fit out sector and refurbishment sector and have experience with structural steel. This is an exciting position and opportunity where you will be instrumental in developing and implementing new projects. In this role you will be tasked with bringing together and driving projects forward where you will coordinate a multi disciplined team from inception to completion. You will also mentor staff and subcontractors providing solutions to problems and liaising with all members involved. The Role bull; Coordinate projects from inception to completion bull; Managing site installations bull; Monitoring and managing staff and subcontractors throughout the design, construction and completion process. bull; Support capital projects in terms of; principal design, specification, procurement, installation and commissioning bull; Component Specification and purchasing bull; Project planning bull; Contractor selection, management and control bull; Manage cost schedules against budget bull; Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with procedures and H S bull; Update and maintain all relevant documentation bull; Be visible on site and provide #39;hands on #39;, operational support on all projects (Training and guidance will be provided to the successful candidate) The ideal candidate will have the following credentials. bull; Degree in Construction or Engineering (2:1 or higher) bull; 5 years experience on site (desirable) bull; Project Coordinator or Engineering background (desirable) bull; Open to working with a main contractor in the Construction and Fit Out sector bull; Ambition to progress to a senior management role
