Cover supervisor

Staff for Education are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work at Secondary Schools in the Chesterfield area to start in April 2024. We have several vacancies available, ranging from day to day supply, short term and long term positions. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment for the students. Your main responsibilities will include: bull; Managing student behaviour in the classroom in line with the school policies bull; Delivering pre-planned lessons to the class when a teacher is absent bull; Providing clear instructions to the students to ensure they understand the work set and their learning objectives bull; Providing support and guidance to students when needed bull; Collecting in students work at the end of the lesson to give to the relevant member of staff bull; Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the relevant person at the school In order to be considered for the role, you must: bull; Have experience working in a school setting bull; Strong classroom management skills bull; Have excellent communication skills bull; Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one bull; Have a passion for working with young people Working for Staff for Education is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a flexible work-life balance as it gives you the choice of the number of days per week that you would like to work and if you would like to work on a short term or long term basis.
